This tour invites you to explore the charming city of Rouen, the beauty of Giverny, and the timeless elegance of Paris and Versailles. In Rouen, we’ll enjoy a walking tour along the cobbled streets and past the half-timbered houses, inspiration for some of Claude Monet’s most famous paintings. We continue the Monet theme at his gardens in Giverny, the living canvas that inspired some of his most iconic works. In Paris we dive into the city’s vibrant fibre arts scene with a curated yarn shopping experience, followed by a scenic Seine River cruise that reveals Paris’ splendour from a new perspective. Yarn Traditions and Cultures of Peru

Peru has the longest continuous history of textile production in the world, going back almost 10,000 years. Invented long before pottery and just as humans started agriculture, Peruvian fibre manipulation began with simple spun fibres but by 500 AD this rudimentary craft had developed into complex techniques. On our travels we’ll explore the processes involved in the production of textiles, including the most characteristic garment, the chullo, a knitted hat with an earflap and a calendar waistband that depicts the annual cycles of ritual and agricultural life, and we'll meet local artisans whose traditions have been passed down through the centuries.

Krakow Easter Market Knitting and Crochet Retreat

Kraków Easter Market is among the city’s most colourful and festive seasonal events, blending traditional Polish holiday customs with lively food, crafts, and cultural experiences. The market is rich in handmade goods and traditional Easter items, alongside a wonderful variety of Polish Easter foods and regional treats. Live music and folk performances fill the air with traditional sounds, while local craft displays offer a chance to connect with Polish customs. This short break includes a guided walking tour of Kraków’s Old Town, as well as three half-day workshops with your expert. Free afternoons can be spent on our optional excursions to Auschwitz-Birkenau and the Wieliczka Salt Mines, or exploring the Easter market – bursting with spring colours, fresh flowers, and the sense of seasonal renewal that Easter represents in Poland.

Reversaible Crochet Weekend

Reversible crochet is created using the interlocking method, producing fabric with a pattern on both sides. During the weekend, we'll work on a small project, designed to show off these gorgeous patterns. Interlocking crochet is a unique colourwork method where two colours are worked simultaneously, weaving them together. The rows create crochet filet mesh, and stitches are placed at the back or front of the mesh windows. We will start with the easiest stitch and practise, practise, practise, progressing as our confidence grows.

Copy of Anna’s book 'Reversible Crochet' will be included in the kit. 

Set in beautiful grounds, the Staverton Park Hotel & Golf Club features an 18-hole golf course, modern leisure club including indoor swimming pool, an elegant restaurant and bar.
