I teach a range of workshops throughout the UK and holidays abroad and have vast teaching experience. Clients include Stitchtopia, The Country Living Fair, WI Centennial Fair, The Creative Sanctuary, Rowan Yarns, Sconch Yarn Shop and many more. I teach all levels of knitting, crochet and Tunisian Crochet, including seasonal classes, custom classes available on request. Anna Nikipirowicz was taught to knit and crochet as a child by her very talented mother, but without practice, the techniques were quickly forgotten. In 2005 she rediscovered her skills and an obsession was born. Few years ago she started designing and selling her patterns, and her designs are regularly featured in craft magazines. Anna is also a workshop tutor, teaching knitting and crochet across the UK. Anna has written a number of best-selling, much-loved books such as Crocheted Wreaths for the Home, Tunisian Crochet Directory and many more. Anna lives in Hertfordshire, UK with her husband and a cat. All materials will be provided for the workshop and copies of Anna's books will be for sale on the night. Fair Isle and Steeking Knitting ClassesSaturday 13th and 20th June 2026Crates of Wool Price: from £90for both classes or £50 for Fai Isle only or £40 for steeking only Time: 10.30am to 130pm Anna will be leading a 2 week course in Fair Isle (13th June) and Steeking (20th June). Both sessions will run from 10:30-12:30. During the first part of the workshop we will learn to knit using the Fair Isle technique using one and two-handed methods. You will start knitting swatches that will be cut on the next lesson. You will need to finish the swatches at home, ready for next lesson. During this superb bite size class with the amazing Anna Nikipirowicz (author of Crocheted Wreaths for the Home, Embroidered Crochet and the Tunisian Crochet Stitch Dictionary) you will learn the basics of how to Tunisian Crochet in rows. You will cover the key stitches such as simple, purl, knit and more. Plus how to get those edges perfect and straight when crocheting in rows, how to change colour and much more. You have the option to buy a signed copy of Anna's Tunisian Crochet Stitch Dictionary during the booking process. Tea/coffee and of course cake will be provided. Skill level: Suitable for participants who are comfortable with holding the yarn and hook and know how to work basic standard crochet stitches. This is not a beginner’s crochet class, but a beginner’s Tunisian crochet class. Yarn Traditions and Cultures of Peru
Monday 12th - Monday 26th October 2026Price: from £4.785pp Peru has the longest continuous history of textile production in the world, going back almost 10,000 years. Invented long before pottery and just as humans started agriculture, Peruvian fibre manipulation began with simple spun fibres but by 500 AD this rudimentary craft had developed into complex techniques. On our travels we’ll explore the processes involved in the production of textiles, including the most characteristic garment, the chullo, a knitted hat with an earflap and a calendar waistband that depicts the annual cycles of ritual and agricultural life, and we'll meet local artisans whose traditions have been passed down through the centuries.
